WhoWe Are
The Strategic Governance and Management Unit (SIGMA) was established in July 2023 to centralize and strengthen the governance and management of ICR including its Network of 37 CRCs. SIGMA’s main portfolio consists of:
- Policy development
- Finance, human resource, and asset management
- Research performance management
- Quality improvement system
SIGMA is fundamental in supporting ICR’s research agenda and values toward achieving its vision of becoming a leading clinical research institution in Asia.

Dr. Aimi began her career as a medical doctor before shifting her focus to research. She has experience in research involving healthcare facilities, healthcare workforce, healthcare services, patient and provider satisfaction, and population-based health outcomes. Currently, she leads a team that governs and manages the operations of the Institute for Clinical Research (ICR), including its Network of 37 Clinical Research Centers (CRC) nationwide.

Researching new methods to improve the quality of cause-of-death data, especially through garbage code redistribution.
