Clinical Research Centre Hospital Tuanku Fauziah (CRC HTF), Kangar, Perlis (CRC Perlis) was established on May 7th, 2007. Its vision is to become a leading clinical research institution in Northern Region of Peninsular Malaysia. Its main function is to establish conducive environment to enable ethical and quality clinical research projects to be carried out for the improvements of patients’ health outcome. Its mission is to improve patients’ health outcome through ethical and quality clinical research. HTF offers specialty such as Surgery, Paediatric, Pathology, Radiology, Anesthesiology, Medical, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Obstetrics and Gynecology (O&G), Dermatology, Orthopaedics, Psychiatry, Ophthalmology, Nephrology and Rheumatology. CRC HTF does not only cover research services in HTF alone, but also covers research services relating to healthcare in the state of Perlis. CRC Perlis has an office and also a dedicated clinical room for industrial sponsored research (ISR).

Areas of interest:
Preventive cardiology, particularly in the field of cardiovascular biomarkers and early risk detection, with a growing interest in precision medicine approaches for personalised cardiovascular risk assessment and prevention among young adults. My research interests also include translational and clinical research aimed at improving early identification and management of cardiometabolic diseases.
Awards and achievements:
- Recipient of the Ibn Sina Pinnacle Research Award and Silver Award at the Ummatic Excellence International Islamic Research & Innovation Expo 2025 (UEIiRIEx’25), awarded for outstanding contribution in the medical sciences category.
- Completed the Foundation of Clinical Research Programme, Harvard University (2023), strengthening competencies in clinical research methodologies.
- Member of the Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), serving as a panel reviewer in research ethics and governance.
I am a Medical Officer and clinical researcher with experience in clinical research, with a strong interest in preventive cardiology and translational medicine. Currently serving at the Clinical Research Centre (CRC), Hospital Tuanku Fauziah, my research focuses on cardiovascular biomarkers, early cardiovascular risk detection, and preventive strategies among young adults. My work particularly explores the role of biomarkers in identifying early cardiometabolic risk and supporting future precision medicine approaches.
I am actively involved in various clinical research activities including protocol development, research methodology, data analysis, and multicentre clinical studies, with research findings presented at national and international scientific conferences and published in indexed medical journals. I am also passionate about encouraging and nurturing greater interest among clinician scientists to become actively involved in clinical research, as research provides valuable opportunities to discover better solutions and improve patient care through evidence-based practice. In addition, I am keen to establish research collaborations with various research institutions and universities to strengthen multidisciplinary research, promote knowledge sharing, and contribute towards meaningful advances in healthcare and medical science.

- Coordinate and support interagency research involving government, academics and private researchers and institutions
Research Related Training
- Organise courses and workshop to enhance research skills eg: Basic Biostatistics, Protocol Development, Publication Retreat, Introduction to Clinical Research.
